Powder coating: is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is applied electrostatically and is then cured at temperatures ranging from 350°F to 450°F in order to allow the powder to melt and form a cohesive bond. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer which is used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Due to its heat resistance it is used on car engines among many other metals which produce a high heat. Powder coating is primarily used for the coating of metals, such as iron work, aluminum extrusions, automobile and bicycle parts.
Powder coating is free of Volatile Organic Compounds out-gassing into the environment making a much safer impact on the environment than liquid paints. The over spray can be collected and reused or easily disposed of. Powder coating is an environmentally friendly processes that delivers a uniform coating which creates a nice aesthetic appearance while not sacrificing durability. Sandblasting: Is the act of propelling very fine particles of an abrasive material at high velocity toward a surface in order to clean or etch it. Sandblasting is often used as a way to prepare a surface prior to painting

NEW! Shot Blasting: Is the process whereby rust, scale, and paint is removed from the surface of a steel profile using steel shot flung at the profile by high speed turbines. We currently utilize the CYM Blaster. The CYM BLASTER will clean all steel profiles up to 72" tall and 72" wide. The only one with this capacity in all California!
